This is our mission statement about which no effort has been spared.
The International Kodály Society was
founded in 1975 in Kecskemét, Hungary. Its purpose is the
world-wide propagation of the musical, educational and cultural concepts
associated with Zoltán Kodály for the benefit of music
generally and in particular for the educational advancement of
youth.
The Society serves as an international forum for all who are
active in the spirit of the
Hungarian master as composer, scholar and

The board of directors of the International Kodály Society is
elected by the membership. Term of office
is four or five years. Elections for one-half of board posts are carried out by
mail ballot before each biennial International Kodály
Symposium.

The Sacred Harp Online Index, compiled by Chris Thorman. This index is an integrated online version of all the lyrics, words, titles, page numbers, poets, and composers in the Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition. Linked to the lyrics are the following indices: page numbers, titles, last and first lines, poets, composers, meters, words and phrases (Concordance). All of the indices are hyper-linked with the music lyrics and vice-versa. One can look up a word, find a list of songs using the word, and then click on the name of a listed song to reveal the complete lyrics and information of that song.
